Hi, I was updating a MacBook Air (2012 or so) (with SSD) And the installation failed. It boots back into the installer and fails again. It tried to boot it into safe mode 20 minutes ago. I let the shift key go after a while. I have the process bar at the moment. Any ideas how I get out of this one?

I had the same problem update macOs High Sierra and now it is not booting. The Recovery Mode and Disk Utility report no error. I can see my files from the terminal in the Recovery Mode. I have done resetting smc, ram, disk first adi and nothing work
I got by this issue by booting into recovery mode and running disk utility. The computer booted after that. I will make sure we have a solid backup and try it again.
Any updates here? I had same problem while installing the High Sierra, twice. Not sure what to do next.
