preview not saving signatures

I've just run into a problem with the new version of Preview (v. 10.0) in High Sierra. It appears that while it has retained my written signatures created in an earlier version, it no longer saves this signature when I add it to a PDF file. So... I open a PDF file, add my signature, save the PDF file (the signature is still there), close the PDF file, and when I reopen it the signature is no longer there.

This has been the result with several PDF files and on both my Macs (late 2013 iMac, 2015 MacBook Pro). Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Can anyone else replicate this or verify this?

I can verify this sort of, I have a similar issue on my 2017 MacBook Pro with Preview v10.0

Signatures added in Preview are not saving or printing so I can't send the edited file to anyone else - I have tried Save and Export options.

I used to be able select Print and then Save as PDF as a workaround but this doesn't work anymore either 😟

I have a similar problem with keywords… Keywords in existing documents show up fine and I add them to new documents, they just don't save. Especially annoying as I only discovered this after adding keywords to 50 documents!

I'm having the same issue. I used to print -> save pdf to ensure that it would be a flattened file that would store signatures but that is no longer the case. It's really frustrating because I have to do a lot of digital signatures.
