I think it will be solved by just few touches.
My device is ipad pro with ios 11.1
1- go to Setting
2- General
3- Background app refresh
4- turn it off
It will work probably on same devices.
Hi JoseSparky. That should work. To copy, you need to use the selection handles to highlight what you want to copy, then select Copy from the popup menu. When you go to the other app, in an open document, you need to tap to position the insertion point, then tap again to get the Select/Paste menu. Tap on Paste to insert the copied text.
I cannot get the paste option to pop up. I’m crippled.
After IOS 11 update I can no longer copy and paste from Calendar entries into 3rd party apps. It works as it normally would however just won’t paste anything. This is highly annoying because it is critical to my job function, and if it’s not fixed im going to have to switch to another platform with copy paste functionality.
The turning off app refresh did it. What a lifesaver!! Thanks I can copy my text msgs now to paste. Essential!!
How did you find this fix? This solved my problem on iphonex iOS 11.2.5
By simple trial and error, the following method seems to have worked for me:
Instead of a long press for the paste function, double tap.
