My iPad keyboard does not appear when I have my external scanner connected. The keyboard won't appear. I disconnect the scanner and then the keyboard works properly fine again. is it possible to force the keyboard to appear, when external scanner is connected?

Hi. It sounds like your (barcode?) scanner is emulating a hardware keyboard, so it suppresses the screen keyboard.
On Apple keyboards, function key F5 invokes the software keyboard. If your scanner is designed for iPad, it may include a "keyboard" button.

Hi, It is a usb scanner connected with the iPad, it is not designed for iPad. but it hides the keyboard, and there is no way to bring up the keyboard again, unless i remove the usb.
