Bluetooth always connected on IOS 11.0.1

After hearing about IOS 11.0.1 I decided to go ahead and update my Iphone 7 Plus 256GIG. It wasn't till the next morning I noticed that my bluetooth was connected. However I was standing outside and all my bluetooth devices were upstairs. I checked my bluetooth devices on my phone and nothing shows connected. I restarted my phone and still the same issue. I turned on airplone mode and still connected.

Was part of the update to IOS 11.0.1 to have bluetooth on and connected all the time? Or is this a flaw in lines of code that causes more problems in other lines of code?

I simply turn it off now until I am ready to use.

Hi I

In iOS11 Apple has changed how Bluetooth and WiFi work. Mostly this is coming about because many features like AirDrop, Handoff, Etc… on the iPhone and Mac now need to have access to WiFi and BT in order to work.

In Control Center, if you "deactivate" either or use Airplane mode, it just "disconnects" you from the current connections but does not turn off the radios. Furthermore, it even turns the connections back on at 5AM.

The only way to turn the radios off is inside of Settings and each section for BT and WiFi.

Hope this helps, Greg

So prior to IOS 11.0.1 my bluetooth icon on my phone shows that its turned on but not connected. Its dim or grayed out until it shows fully white as it is connected to a device. After the update, the icon is fully white meaning to me, that it is connected to a device. I understand other features need the connection to Wifi and Bluetooth so that part I understand.

Maybe the bluetooth icon has changed to full white showing connected to a device and it really isnt. Only reason I brought this up cause I have noticed that my battery is draining quicker as though I am connected using bluetooth. No worries. Like I said I will just turn it when I need it, cause all the other features I do not use. Thanks.
