iPhone 8 plus home button setting

How can I totally switch off the vibration feeling when I press the home button?

iPhone 8 Plus, iOS 11.0.1

I don't believe you can turn it off completely, however you can set it to the lowest setting. Go to Settings>General>Home Button, and then choose 1, that is the softest. The haptic is the only way to verify that you have activated the home button, since it is not an actual physical button. That is the only thing that makes the button appear that it has been pressed.

Strange answer.... as the required response ie change on screen is sufficient to know you’ve activated the button.


I also hate the feel of it, and am very disappointed that Apple has created such a clangky element on the phone. Disgruntled to say the least :-/
