I recently purchased a black 256gb iPhone 8 Plus, my first iPhone. The earpiece speaker sounds fantastic. However the bottom speaker sounds much different. It has much less bass and clarity. It is very noticeable when you put your ear to it. Is this a random defect or are all iPhones 8 Plus like this?

OK, so what you want to try is to see how the sound is when you are holding the device in Landscape mode in front of you. You want to get the effect of the true blended stereo sound to determine if there is something not sounding right.
If, after you do that, the sound still isn't right, then take it to your local Apple Store and have it looked at.

You aren't referring to the opening on the left side are you? If so, that is not a speaker, that is a mic and barometric pressure.

It's difficult to diagnose your problem remotely.
Since you got your new device less than 14 days ago, I'd make an appointment at your nearest Apple Store and have your iPhone inspected.

No, a am referring to the actual speaker on the bottom right. It sounds inferior to the top speaker near the front camera.
