iOS 11 slow email app

Since upgrading to ios11 on iPhone 7plus the Apple email app is slow to show text within exchange and gmail emails. They show immediately on the preview screen but can take 30seconds or more once you enter the app to read. Also there is a long delay in the app showing how many mails you have once you have read or deleted.

I was hoping that ios11.1 would have fixed this but unfortunately not. I have also completed a delete and reinstall of the app, update of iOS from iTunes plus a full restore, still doesn’t correct the issue.

Unfortunately for the first time in 8 years I’ve been forced to use a non Apple app to run mail, the Microsoft outlook app. This works fine and is actually s very nice app allowing you to also add your gmail as well as exchange. Hopefully Apple will look into this fast and stop asking us all to do Factory resets that don’t fix the problem and take ages to do.
