One reason an ID is disabled is if someone was trying to hack into the account and entered the wrong password too many times.

An ID can be disabled for the iTunes and App Stores because there is a problem with the billing method posted to the account, a purchases problem, or some other error in the account.

NO ONE has yet to answer the question, "Why was my Apple ID disabled?". The only responses are instructions on how to attempt to re-enable it. Neither Apple nor any responder on this site has given an answer to the actual question asked by many, many people or even information on how to find the answer ...not helpful.

in any case, the message you may see about yourApple ID being disabled is typically caused by security problems. The most common reasons an Apple IDgets disabled or locked are: Someone tried to log in to your Apple ID incorrectly too many times. Someone entered your security questions incorrectly too many times.
