Hi, I regular use the FTP on the MacOS terminal, however, since I updated the OS to MacOS High Sierra, when typing the FTP command in the terminal it just reply with a bash error, I contacted apple phone support and they are "investigating the issue" but no answers yet.
This is the terminal snippet:
User-MacBook-Pro:~ user$ ftp
-bash: ftp: command not found
My mac: MacBook Pro 2017, 2,3 Ghz, I5.
MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, 2 TBT3), macOS High Sierra (10.13)
The /usr/bin/ftp and /usr/bin/sftp are different applications. The latter will not work on sites that are not configured to support secure FTP.
[Advanced editor works fine with Safari 11]
Some third-party applications may simply attempt to use the underlying High Sierra FTP binary, and as it is now missing, these applications will fail.
Use LFTP instead.
Install brew (https://brew.sh/) if you haven't already and then install lftp (https://lftp.yar.ru/) using brew.

This thread is about the shell command ftp and not a specific client...
Copy ftp from another machine with working ftp and place into /usr/local/bin on local machine.
What a joke.
I tried this, but "which ftp" still can't find ftp. Any tips?

Apple's FTP and Telnet programs are back in this homebrew pull request.
That includes both the client and server of each one.
