Since updating to high sierra when I click on a link in mail, a blank chrome window is opend insted of the link in the alreeady open chrome window.
Was never an issue in sierra.
Anyone else seen this or know how to fix it?

I noticed this problem for the first time today even though I updated to High Sierra a week or so ago. Came here looking for an answer. Updating Google Chrome worked for me, too.
In Chrome, go to the "Chrome" pulldown menu. Click "About Google Chrome" and you will update.

It's not High Sierra.
Try thisā¦
1. Quit Chrome
2. In System Preferences > General set the default browser to Safari
3. Launch Chrome
4. When Chrome asks if you want to make it the default browser say yes.
Test.
After upgrade to 63.0.3239.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) or higher version of Chrome the issue is resolved.
Yes, this worked - I updated chrome, and it stopped the issue in Apple Mail.
You may have to deleteā¦
~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome
~/Library/Preferences/google.Chrome.plist
Might be some corruption in your Chrome install or a Chrome extension.
The issue is that the latest Google Chrome update requires Chrome to be relaunched. To do so, in Chrome go to Help - About Google Chrome, and then click on "RELAUNCH" to the right of the version.
Many thanks for your help, had these issues today, came here and then did the update on chrome now its all fixed. \D/
I would say this is an issue with Chrome rather than your computer. As High Sierra is a new release, Google probably hasn't adapted to these changes.
Google will certainly update Chrome with a fix for this eventually. Contacting Google might be the best option

If that doesn't work, there is something wrong with your Chrome install or some third-party app is causing the problem. I have 4 different Macs with 10.13.2 installed and I have no problem opening links from Mail.

Updating works, have had to do it several time since updating to high sierra.
Well well well... it looks more and more like that High Sierra update is creating a lot of works to developers... Google Chrome and other apps patches to be developed....

Weird weird... did as you mentioned and it was already Google Chrome default browser, restarted it again google chrome didn't ask to make it default as it already was on sys pref... but now it worked.... Weird weird weird š
