Messenger emoji option disappeared under photos n videos section.

Yo, a few days ago out of nowhere I opened the messenger app and the emoji had turned to the device emoji. I went to turn it back to the facebook emoji under me/photos and videos and i noticed that the option had disappead. I tried to reinstall the app and it didn't work either. Any ideas what's happening?. Thanks
