Have you still got your old iPhone did you have iCloud turned on?
If you did restore iPhone 8 back to factory settings Then set back up over your wifi
When it asks if you want to use iCloud backup Say yes to get your apps and data back.
This will only work if you had iCloud backup turned on.

If you can view the contacts and photos from a computer at www.icloud.com that indicates that you had them synced to iCloud (and if so, they would not be included in an iCloud backup).
If you turn on Settings > [username] > iCloud > Contacts and Settings > [username] > iCloud > Photos > iCloud Photo Library on your new iPhone, they should automatically sync to it. Note that it may take awhile if you have a large number of photos. More information at iCloud Photo Library - Apple Support
I activated my new iPhone but now I don't have any of my contacts or pictures but they are all one my iCloud account when I log in on the computer is there any way I can transfer them to my new iPhone?
