Record screen of Apple TV 4K, with XCode, but...

Maybe it just won't work?

I followed some instructions that seemed to set it up -- linking it as a device in Xcode, (screenshot, attached)

So, I got the Apple TV 4K listed as a device in Xcode.

This for the previous generation of Apple TV but had the core idea, just had to link with WiFi not lightening connector.

Using Xcode I get SOME limited screenshots but not of actual movies or games playing. (see, attached).

Only screens where I select movies or episodes; not the episodes or movies playing.

The instructions said QuickTime could be used to record AppleTV movies, but

When I try to use QuickTime, I only get the option to record from Facetime camera.

no option to record from AppleTV (which the instructions said should be there)

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.2), Camera, music gear, Wacom tablet.

IDK. Just to test it, it seems rather than an inability to screenshot

any copyrighted material, that some AppleTV apps are blocked.

I can't take any screenshots from anything on Netflixs.

Can't take any screenshots from anything Apple.

But -- Photo attached has 4 screenshots from content I imagine might be

copyrighted -- taken using Xcode, taken from AppleTV.

Just apparently these apps/sites did not block taking screenshots.

Also could take screenshots from YouTube, Flickr, other places.

But as far as taking brief video clips, still QuickTime Player 10.4 won't show it as an option,

although the initial instructions I mentioned said that would become an option.

I just have this feeling my QuickTime "didn't get the Xcode information."

Maybe I need QuickTime Pro, or something?

IDK. Never had AppleTV before so when it arrived a couple of days ago I'm

all interested in what I can see on it and what can be done with it.
