How to clean a wireless mouse.

What is the best way to clean a wireless Bluetooth mouse? It is erratic and does not respond properly?

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.4)

Is this a recent development. If so, check out this document for interference sources. Not mentioned, but pay attention to Wacom tablets and pens. Move them from the vicinity when not in use.
