How do I add an app to the share sheet

I was wondering how you can add an app to the sharing sheet on photos. I wanted to add an app so that it was quick and easy to save a specific photo or document, but I couldn't do it without it going super complicated. I couldn't find on how to do it on my iPod so I tried looking it up on here and no one seems to have how to do it. I have an iPod Touch which will not update any further than iOS 9.3.5.

You can only add apps to the Share menu that have been updated to offer sharing. There has to a Share extension installed by the app. If the app you want to use for sharing offers an extension, you can activate it like this:
