Pause and Wait not working on iPhone

I have a daily Webex call that I need to dial into and I am having an issue getting the Pause or Wait to work. I have tried setting a single and a double pause, but it never enters the 9 digit access code followed by #. I then tried to insert a Wait command, but the same result where the call eventually says my entry is invalid. I will note that I get no tone sounds from the pause or wait. But when I end up inputting the numbers manually, I do hear the tones for the key inputs.

Is there something that I am missing with regards to using the Pause function?

Hello jforget1,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that you are not able to get the Pause or Wait features to work properly for you. Make sure that you are editing the contact properly as described in the iPhone User Guide below:

Use Contacts from within the Phone app - iPhone User Guide

Automate dialing an extension or passcode. If the number you’re calling requires dialing an extension, iPhone can enter it for you. When editing a contact’s phone number, tap User uploaded file to enter pauses in the dialing sequence. Tap Pause to enter a two-second pause, which is represented by a comma. Tap Wait to stop dialing until you tap Dial again, which is represented by a semicolon.

Let us know how it goes.

Best Regards.
