Bose Soundlink Mini iOS 11

After updating my iPhone to iOS 11, I can no longer link via bluetooth to my Bose Soundlink Mini. Anyone else having this issue? No real problems prior to the update.

I have:

1. Removed the Bose speaker from bluetooth devices on the phone (Forget this Device) with the thought it would add again. It will not.

2. Cleared the Bluetooth memory on the speaker itself (held down the bluetooth button for 10 seconds until it beeped).

3. Turned Bluetooth on/off on the iPhone.

4. Done a reset of the iPhone.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

If you still can't pair or connect your Bluetooth accessory

  1. If you can pair your accessory with some devices but not your iOS device, unpair the accessory from one of the other devices. Then try to pair with your iOS device again.
  2. Check with the accessory manufacturer to make sure that your accessory supports your iOS device.
  3. If you have any of these issues, contact Apple Support:
    • You can’t turn on Bluetooth or the setting is grayed out.
    • You can’t connect any Bluetooth accessories with your device.
    • The accessory manufacturer confirmed that your accessory is working correctly.

Check with Bose, if they don't have a firmware update then contact Apple per this section

I did this in the following order:

1. Select ”Forget this device” under the blue ”i” circle button in the Bluetooth My Devices section.

2. Clear the memory of the speaker (hold down bluetooth button appx 10 seconds until it beeps).

3. Power off the speaker, turn it back on.

4. Push the Bluetooth button on the speaker and connect to the phone as if it were a brand new device.

I hope this this works for you as well.

Thank you for all the feedback and direction.

I think I had done most of this - with the exception of being patient. After I reset and cleared everything, I tried to pair again and just let it continue the process without assuming that it had failed. It took a long time (much longer than it should have) but it did finally pair.

Again, thank you!

I was having the same issue. I tried the things you mentioned, but was only successful when I did them in this exact order:

Hope it works for you as well.

I had this issue as well and tried all of the things you did to no avail. After finding out you can't update the firmware of the older Bose Soundlink (only the model 2 has firmware updates) I noticed someone suggested a hard reset of the Soundlink as a possible solution. This is accomplished by pressing the mute button for 15 seconds, you'll see half the lights on the device flash white when this occurs. After I did this, the Soundlink was discoverable again by my iPhone 7 running iOS 11.2. Good luck!
