I do not have a wallet and apple pay icon in system preferences

Hello all,

In the USA, and have used ApplePay before on my MBP 2015. Sometime between May of this year and now, thru a few Sierra updates, and an update to High Sierra, I seem to have lost my Wallet and Apple Pay icon in System Preferences.

Short of nuking the system and starting from scratch, does anyone know how to restore/re enable this functionality?

Thanks Much

Thanks for your response.

Not unless this has changed. You can utilize ApplePay and the Wallet if you also have an iPhone.

The issue here is that I have used ApplePay before, on this machine, with the previous version of the OS, up until about May, authenticating via an iPhone. Now, I cannot; and the ApplePay and Wallet system preference pane is not showing for me to re-enable or to even troubleshoot.

Allow Payments is enabled in settings on the iPhone.

Thanks Much

I'm having a similar issue as well with my MacBook Pro mid-2014. I was using Apple Pay on Safari and it would connect to my iPhone to complete the transaction. Now, while it still finds my phone and asks for my thumbprint ID, it eventually times out and the transaction does not complete. I think this happened around the time I upgraded to High Sierra.
