Can’t figure out if I muted this guy or not with the new update on FaceTime with him rn and he’s asleep, if it’s grey does it mean I’m muted?

Hi, Syd091!

Thanks for reaching out about FaceTime via the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I understand you want to know if the Mute button appears white or grey when active. I'm happy to help!

In iOS 11, the Mute button will appear grey when inactive in FaceTime, and white when it is active. That means if the mute button is grey, the other person can hear you. If it's white, the other person cannot hear you.

Have a great day!
