No sound with Fox News alerts on iPhone SE. All settings are correct - evidenced by sounds for other apps, including generic news. I've researched for months / tried Apple Help suggestions and still not working. Maybe it's intentional or being ignored?

This is an iOS bug that began several months ago. ONLY Apple can fix it.
If they get enough bug reports a fix will be forthcoming. If not enough reports are made the bug will likely remain for a long time to come. When you make your report, be factual, but be nice.
In the Notification Tab for the app is the Sounds tab toggled on?
Since I've tried everything, including lengthy phone conversations with more than one Apple Support tech, Miked37, I have to agree with you that since they have no interest in resolving this, it logically follows that Apple intended for Fox News alerts to be silenced. As I've said before, the settings on my phone for the Generic News app and the Fox News app are exactly the same and it's the Fox News alerts that don't make a notification sound. I imagine it's through the operating system, since it's effected more than one type of iPhone. In my opinion, Apple certainly could fix this - if they wanted.
I know two other people with different iPhones that have the same issue. The alert comes in with no sound or vibration. It also happens with the NFL Verizon app so I’m assuming it’s an Apple problem. I’m working with an Apple rep to fix it but I doubt I get anywhere. I can’t imagine it’s that difficult a fix on their end.
Madra31: Yes it is. I've been over all Settings multiple times on my own and with Apple techs. It is simply not working on this one feature. So strange that there's sound for Generic News alerts, but not for Fox News alerts - the notification/sound settings for both of these are identical. This has been going on for months and there's been no improvement.

Things are going from bad to worse.
I cannot watch Fox live TV using the app (Fox News GO). I log in SUCCESSFULLY using my DirectTV credentials.
When I tap on “FOX News GO”, I get a pop-up “Authorization Denied”. In the upper right corner of the app it reads “Log Out”, so I am successfully logged in.
I have a un-installed and reinstalled the FOX News app. I have done a full restart and re-set on the iPhone 8 as well, the problem continues. ( iOS 11.1.1 )
I've not had that problem in the past but after reading that you can't use Fox News Go, I tried it on my phone to see if it's still working with the latest iOS update. Following login to xFinity//Comcast, the app opens and works fine. (iPhone SE now using iOS 11.1.1). Seems like Apple has many bugs.
I’m having the same issue on an iPhone 7 Plus. No sound from the Fox News app notifications. I wonder if it’s Apple trying to hurt Fox News?
