Smart safe needs to be updated to work on IOS 11

I did this earlier today for a client's notes only:

This is what I did for a client today. I followed mementothegreat's instructions but I wanted to expand them to help those looking for notes only. I installed Imazing trial, opened a itunes backup inside Imazing (recent backup after ios 11 update worked fine). Went to "File System" then right clicked on AppDomain-com.itcomapps.sk and saved it to a folder on my computer, in the root of C called INFO. It then created a file called Smart Safe 1.8.imazingapp. I used 7-zip to extract that file and now I had a folder called Smart Safe 1.8 that had all of the files. I went to C:\info\Smart Safe 1.8\Container\Library\Application Support\Data and found the main database file called notes.sqlite. I then downloaded DB Browser for SQLite from http://sqlitebrowser.org/. After installing the program, I opened it and selected open database and selected C:\info\Smart Safe 1.8\Container\Library\Application Support\Data\notes.sqlite. Once it loaded the database, I clicked on the Browse Data tab and found all of the clients notes in the ZBODY column. I clicked on each ZBODY and it shows me the notes that he entered in the upper right. At this point he can copy and paste the notes out in to other programs. He didn't have any saved photos/files so I am unable to speak to that although there may be a folder that has them all in there if you had some. I suggest poking around if you are missing anything else. This worked for me and he is a very happy man now, regaining 132 entries that he had. I hope it works for you.

** I showed the exact directory names for how I setup my restore folder, yours will vary if you do it differently. If this is confusing, get a PC tech and he/she should be able to use these instructions to assist.

There is no support to be given.

all developers were given access to the betas and told 32 bit app support was at an end.

The developers were given ample warning and had more than enough time to make their apps compatible.

all you can do is contact the developer and see if they have any plans to update or if they have abandoned the app.

For me it was simple and I didn't have to pay, the trial worked just fine. Basically ran the program after making an iTunes backup. Then within imazing I went under "File System" > AppDomain-com.itcomapps.sk and bam! everything was there and available to grab. This will work with other applications as well.

Yes, my method I mentioned above works with ios11, but you will have to make a backup of your existing phone. The tool Imazing uses your backup as an image to grab the hidden contents of Smart Safe so you can copy it to your computer. It worked for me and others now. I hope my steps help you recover your images and everything.

Talk to the app developer. That's not an Apple product. Developers have had more than adequate time to update their apps.

Unfortunately it seems that the developer has abandoned the product ... I have already contacted and got no response, as everyone has many photos saved and unfortunately it seems that we lost ... below the link to ask for guidance as I did.

Better v try to locate the developer and ask him what is the solution. Which country that guy is located ? V all will try to approach him who ever is near to him personally what say ?

I'm facing the same trouble like u... I was shocked when I realized the Smart Safe could not be opened anymore >.<
so have u found the developer and contacted him/her?
or do you know how to do so?

Hey Andrew , I can not thank you enough for this. I'm on a mac it was a little different. But the process is pretty much the same. Mac users have to choose the File System/Smart Safe/ Backup/Library/Application Support/Data. The notes.sqlite file is there. Again thank you so much for the assist.

Am also facing the same problem what is the solution guys.

Can I revert back to ios 10, the save the files on a flash drive and then perhaps use another program that is compatible with ios11?

I am having the same problem and have a ton of stuff saved in Smart Safe.....major problem! Hopefully someone can advise when Smart Safe will be updating their app so it works. Thank you!

They are no longer in the apps store. We can't email them.
