Can’t send pictures to non-Apple devices from IPad Pro iOS 11

After updating to iOS 11 on my IPad Pro, I am no lon able to send pictures to friends using devices other than Apple. This is only on my iPad which I find odd. They send just fine from my iPhone 7+ running iOS 11.

I do have a data plan on my iPad. Sending pictures was not an issue until the iOS 11 update.

“An Apple SIM card, an embedded Apple SIM, or a third-party SIM card is used for your cellular data connection. All iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular models include a SIM card tray. Some models also include an embedded Apple SIM (except in China). In some regions, other iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular models may include a preinstalled Apple SIM card.”

I think there is a setting that may have changed. I don't have a iPad pro, but on my mini, there is an option in FaceTime to "Allow Calls from iPhone". I think your iPad has never sent pictures to non-iPhone users, but has sent them using your iPhone. Check the setting in FaceTime (I haven't found any other setting), and test it again.

HTH, and If it is not the correct setting, hopefully I pointed you in the right direction.

You may have figured out by now that iOS 11 changes some settings. I had always been able to send pics thru iMessage to non-apple devices on ipad but it stopped after the update. This worked for me bec they were changed/unchecked after the updates. Under settings—messages on all devices, make sure you have 2 things checked; one should be your cell number and the other an email address. I also have those same 2 things checked under FaceTime. Hope it helps.
