Just upgraded to the new iPhone 8 Plus. Love the pictures, but within the last day or two, my cameras screen appears green when I go to use it. If I use the flash, the picture looks normal, but without the green hue is still there. What gives?
- Make sure that there’s nothing blocking the camera lens. If you’re using a case, try removing it.
- Force the app to close, then open the Camera app again.
- Restart your device, then open the Camera app again.
- If your device has a front and rear camera, try both cameras by tapping
. If you see the closed lens or black screen on only one camera, take your device to an Apple Retail Store or Authorized Service Provider for more help.

I had to get a warranty replacement for my phone. Nothing else worked. It was inconvenient, but oh well. Just be sure to backup everything before switching phones.

The only thing that worked for me was to get a replacement warranty phone. Not ideal, but oh well. Mine was replaced within one day! Just be sure to back up everything before the switch!
Having same green hue with back camera use but mine also has vertical lines on the screen that “flicker” throughout the screen as well when attempting to take a photo. Even more strange is when attempting to use the camera during daylight the hue will change. I called my carrier being I have owned my phone for several months now (no damage) after trouble shooting for over two hours I was transferred to Apple at that point, another 25 minutes later I have a replacement on the way. Although it was a very time consuming process, very pleased with Apple and their customer service - phone carrier, could take some pointers from them as the time spent was a bit excessive.
My camera was working great one second then went green and now to dark black. It’s very frustrating. I tried shutting it down and restarting the camera but still no luck. Very frustrating two days before Christmas!!
I am having the same issue but only on the front facing camera. The camera I use for “selfies” is fine.

Green Hue? Sorry, not on my 8 Plus. Therefore I don't have this issue.
