IOS updated and Podcast App keeps shutting down?

I just updated to the new iOS and when I try to play a podcast within seconds it just shuts off and goes back to the iOS screen. I already tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and that did not work. Any more suggestions?

Hello RustBelt,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are unable to use the Podcast app on your iPhone. To help resolve your issue, please force close the Podcast app and restart your device as iOS clears cached data and does other system optimizations when you turn your device off and on.
