iTunes suddenly not responding on Mac

I cannot open iTunes on my Mac. Nor can any other user on the Mac. Stopped working very suddenly a couple of weeks ago

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

If you have a Time Machine backup, restore from it. Had you downloaded anything before Itunes crashed? That may be the problem.

Thanks unfortunately I don’t have a time machine. Just a regular hard drive back up. All I had done was click no to the iTunes update and ever since it won’t respond. Anno
