Disable landscape (horizontal) screen lock?

Is there anyway to turn off the landscape (horizontal) version of the screen lock so the screen appears in portrait (vertical) mode ALL the time? Horizontal looks terrible, almost as if there is a glitch, and you can't see as much of your notifications (not as efficient use of screen space).

FoxFifth,

Here are the steps to reproduce it:

1. Turn off Touch ID & Passcodes

2. Open an app that uses Landscape mode (e.g. Mail)

3. Position your phone so it goes to Landscape Mode

4. Either let it go to sleep or push the side button to make it go to sleep

5. Raise to wake or hit the Home button to wake up the phone

The lock screen will appear in Landscape mode. This makes it very hard to quickly access the Control Center by swiping up (e.g. access the Camera quickly).
