I noticed on my iMac that "Location Services" is enabled. Specifically, Maps, Calendar and Siri are enabled. From a security and operational standpoint, is that okay, or should I disable it?

Here's a good article on Location Services. In general, Locations Services are helpful for apps that you use and there shouldn't be any security concerns. Note that even a Wi-Fi connection is enough to pinpoint your location.
