How do I turn off the sound when sending a facebook messenger message? I do not want to turn off all notifications, I only want to turn off the sound it makes when I send someone a message.

I do not have a sounds option...
When I tap on settings my options are:
Account settings
chat settings (this only gives me an option to turn chat on or off)
payments settings
news feed preferences
activity log
When I click Facebook
then click the messenger icon
then click the upper left user portrait
Then click notifications
i feel like i’m in the right direction
That would be a setting in your Facebook app - nothing to do with the phone settings themselves.
I have turned off everything in the app, and I am still getting the sound when the messages send.
How do I turn off the sound when sending a facebook messenger message?
