ios 11 spotlight search

I am having trouble with the search feature in Ios 11. I used to be able to put in a partial name for an app and it would appear. Now I have to spell out Safari before I get a suggestion. Contacts that I know are in my phone can not be found in the search. Instead I have to open up contacts and look there. This is so frustrating. How do I go back to the old IOS. The new features in 11 are not great enough to deal with these problems.

Only a bot replied to you. I’m having the same issue. I hope someone finds the way to stop those stupid “features” that they keep adding to IOS. If I had known they f&@$”d iOS so badly I would have never upgraded. I hope you find the solution and share it with us.

If the issue persists, reinstall iOS with iTunes. This can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling iOS, iTunes will completely remove your current software and install a fresh version. While iTunes will try to do this without removing data, it's a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup before trying this step.
