iVault

I have had the iVault app for a couple years now and store many many pictures on there, recently when I have tried to go into the app the app crashes, it never makes it to the page where I can put a password in. I have read some posts that Apple has taken it off of the App Store but I don’t understand... I just want my pictures back... is there any possible way that I can do that? I have tried to use the US store instead of Canada but it is not available there either.

hi, I have the same situation but I have got the files back.

But most of all, you need to have the backup of your phone, the tools iExplorer ( https://macroplant.com/iexplorer ) can browse your iTunes backups, just download and open it, the iVault data directory is '/App/com.flowever.iValut/Library/user.files', you can export all of your photo and videos to your computer.

I hope it can help you.

No one from Apple will address the situation here. This is a user to user support forum, and Apple does not participate here.

It sounds to me as if this application was not updated for 64-bit support. You need to contact the app developer for assistance. They were warned months ago to update their apps to work with iOS 11, and a list of apps on your device that were not supported appeared before you updated the device. Only the app developer can assist you by updating the device, or providing you with some method to extract your data. If the app was removed from the app store, then you will need to try a Google search for the app developer.

No they do not. Only what was published with the app. Unfortunately, many of these app developers do not provide ample support for their products, and many users find themselves in the same predicament as you are in. With the update of iOS 11, support for 32-bit apps was removed. App developers were warned to update their products, and it seems that many did not heed that warning. I do find it strange that most of the complaints I have seen here from users are for apps that store passwords. It makes one wonder.

Hi! Thanks for the info. I have been trying all ways to access the photos I had only in iVault with no luck. I’ve read about a backup that could have been done on the iVault app itself. I didn’t know about this so never did it. I did pay for the app but wasn’t aware I need to do a separate backup. I have backups of my phone on iTunes, is this what you mean when you say you need a backup or did you do a backup of the actual app to get your files back? Without paying for the iExplorer I don’t think I can check if it see the files within the app, or even the iVault app itself and can’t find any relevant info on the help section.

Also the search name you give for iVault ... do you type this into iExplorer? Sorry for all the questions but any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you
