autofill has suddenly started using a Facebook email address

Hello,

I have used autofill for years with no problems on my MBP and desktop. Suddenly it now fills with an @facebook address. This does not appear in my profile in contacts and I have never used it. It has never been in my address profile. Consequently I am unable to delete it.

Why and how has this happened and how do I remove it?

Choose Safari > Preferences, then click AutoFill.

To turn AutoFill off or on, select the information you want to include in AutoFill; deselect the rest.
To change or delete AutoFill information, click Edit next to the information you want to change or delete.

Hi Leroy,

thanks for the suggestion, I had tried that already, but when I press edit the @Facebook address doesn't appear, it isn't in my contact info so I can't delete it. I have never used this address.

I am mystified how it has appeared, it feels very sinister to me!!
