How to stop IOS 11 battery full beeping

With the upgrade to IOS 11 when charging my phone, when it reaches full the phone starts beeping. This is very disturbing at night and requires me to unplug to stop the noise. This then leads to a 90% charged phone by the morning. How can I stop this unnecessary alert?

There is no notification or beep when the phone is fully charged, regardless of the iOS version. There is a problem with the charging cable, the power source, or lint and debris in the lightning port. Clean out the port and / or have the cable and charger checked or replaced.

I wonder how long it will take apple to determine that whatever they did in version 11x has made many phones behave differently. It might be a combination of software and hardware but it’s DIFFERENT and broken. Not throw the phone away broken, but wake me up one more time in the middle of the night and throw it out the window broken.

The likelihood of it being a software problem is small enough to be discountable.

What happens when you charge the phone with the included Apple cable without the charging case?

I have never had an iPhone, iPod or iPad that beeped when fully charged. Ever.

I have an iPhone X now using a Mophie wireless charger. It does not beep when full or display a message. Ever. My coffee buddy has the same setup. No beep.

I do have another friend whose iPhone beeps when fully charged and displays a message but his is jailbroke and he runs an app that does it.

I don't understand why you are so reluctant to even acknowledge the possibility that this is a software bug. It's by far the most likely explanation from the complaints so far. There are comparatively very few iPhone users who ever even go on this forum, so I don't buy your contention that it can't be a common issue because you aren't seeing them post here. The charging icon popping up on screen in the past has generated a beep so I don't see why the latest version couldn't. Do you think that Apple completely rewrite the code from scratch every time that they make a change? I doubt it very much. The code that made it beep originally is probably still in V11 but supposedly bypassed. Who knows what possible combination of circumstances could re-enable that code? Different apps, different software revs, different chargers; any number of possibilities spring to mind. The smoking gun, as far as I'm concerned, are the users who didn't have the problem until they updated their phones. No hardware changes; just a problem that suddenly appeared and is identical to lots of other people who "upgraded". I'm not about to pull apart my brand new phone to troubleshoot until Apple officially tell me that it's absolutely not a software issue. Why do you think they constantly issue new software? It isn't usually to add features; it's to fix bugs.

I hear what your saying but it only beeps once charged. I also have two wireless chargers (same make) that do the same. If there was an issue with connection, why doesn’t phone beep while charging ?

More to the point why does the phone charge up in a good time if there’s a problem ?

I was about to ditch the iPhone as I was so fed up with the hugely troublesome lightning leed charger. The iPhone 8’s wireless charge feature and the fact that it was compatible with non Apple chargers, was my reason for staying Apple.

I really hope this can be fixed.
