Uber: Watch app stuck on "Please sign in on iPhone"

The Uber app on my Watch has not been working for months. When I open it, I get a message saying "Please sign in or register using the Uber app on your phone to begin using Uber for Apple Watch." However, my iPhone is signed in to Uber.

I've tried uninstalling both apps and that didn't change anything. I reached out to Uber and they sent me this message:

To try to update your Apple Watch, use the following steps:

1. Close the Uber app on your Apple Watch

2. Power off and then power on your iPhone

3. Re-open the Uber app on your iPhone and sign-in if prompted

4. Re-open the Uber app on your Apple Watch

If you continue to experience this issue, please reach out to Apple support. In the meantime you can request a ride on your iPhone and you should see the ride reflected on your Apple Watch.

Does anyone have some suggestions here?

I was having the same problem. Found a fix on another thread. On the app on the watch, then sign out of the app on your phone and sign back in. It kicks the watch all back on.
