Iphone 8 Plus Anoyying clicks and rattles

On the right hand side of my iphone 8 plus there is this higly annoying rattle every time the screen is tapped ln a fast manner,what could this be? It is super annoying and ridiculous because no other phones have this flaw. As well as my top left corner upon applying pressure from both sode of the glas you hear this click as though the phone is coming apart there . Once i pres on it harder i dont hear it but if i shake it slightly and press again it returns. Im scared my phone is not ip67 resistant and is more prone to dust because of this now especially after i insveated over a grand into the 256 Gb model. Please let me know guys and what should I do if i go to the store could i get a replacement for this device because its still within the first month of purchase? And i have a year right?

I started noticing rattles this week. I’ve noticed it each time I sit my phone down or tap hard. It is mainly towards the top where the camera is. I haven’t dropped it and I have a case. Debating on taking it to Apple to see what they say.

I took mine to apple and they told me they can take it apart and check the components.. I dont want to take a brand new ohone apart but they told me I couldnt get a new one since their system checker crap came back fine, and they said that all Iphones have this! Im quite upset because all I wanted was a exchange and was denied even if Im still under the 15 day policy. For a iPhone 8 Plus 256 gb that cost me a grand all I was told is to wait until I have more problems and come in to take it apart. I am disgusted honestly and my phone is super annoying now with the rattle and clicks. No other phone I have ever owned did this! Apple is not the same without Steve.

I agree it is kind of annoying especially with a new phone. I did some more research and found how that it has something to do with the optical zoom in the phones. There is some spring mechanism for the camera lens that can rattle when it tapped just right. I checked my wifes phone and it does the same thing, it is also only a few weeks old. I am not too stressed about it anymore, i thought it was broken or something, but doing the research aided in my decision to not go to the store.

I seem to have a rattle to up near the camera om my iphone 7, but knowing a little but about the phone I think that it may be the image stabilization setup that they are using for the camera and its allowing it to move slightly inside the housing. Don't know if it helps the original poster but it is just a thought.

I just spent 3.5 hours getting an exchange because of the rattle and when I got home and opened it up...same thing!

Why oh why didn't I google this first? Oh well, thanks so much for the explanation. The only reason it bothered me's cause I thought...well, defective and busted. Now that I've read your spring explanation, I can watch Monday Night Football in piece while tearing through the "guilt" candy and vanilla shake.
