Safari will not open
I am running an 10.4.8 G4 iMac. Today, I was on the web and checking email before dinner. When I returned Safari and Mail would no longer open. Both icons just bounce once or twice on the dock then stop. I tried repairing privileges. And discarding the .plist. Neither of these seemed to work. Let me say that I can launch Firefox and search the web. So my internet connection is fine. I have tried Safari with every user including the Admin log in. Every user does the same thing. In trying to solve the problem, I ran the MacOXUpd10.4.8PPC.dmg update figuring that this would just install a new version of Safari over the old one. This still did not work. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
