Apple ID Password vs Passcode?
Is there a difference between a password and a passcode? What is the difference & why 2?

The Apple ID password is just that. You use it to log in to iCloud, Ap store and other Apple services. The passcode is the 4 or 6 digit code that you use to access your phone when it locks after a period of inactivity. You can set that up in Settings.
