remove apple pay from Uber App

This issue started when I upgraded the iOS from 10 to 11 on my iPhone 5s

On the Uber App, Apple Pay has been automatically added in addition to my credit card and it's always Apple Pay that pops up. But it can't be used. I then have to scroll down and select my credit card otherwise they wont accept the ride. However after I close the app I have to start all over again for the next ride.

Uber IT is totally inefficient and after about 10 emails they asked that I refer the issue to Apple. The question is simple but maybe the solution complicated: I need to remove Apple Pay from my payments method on the Uber App and I can't do it and Uber can't do it!
