how can I change title of memories?

Photos has provided a title for a set of images and I can't seem to change it.

I came across this suggested solution by leonie, but i can't make it work >

When I follow these 4 steps, I end up with a new album, with all the pictures and the title I want - but it doesn't replace the existing set with the wrong title.

Given that leonie's suggestion is marked 'solved', is there an extra stage that I'm missing?

My suggestion does not rename the old Memory - it is just a work around to use the photos from the automatically created memory to create a memory with the name you want. Use the new memory you create to replace the old memory. Just delete the old one.

The Memories in Photos on macOS High Sierra still do not have as many options as the memories on the mobile devices with iOS 11.

But if you upgraded to High Sierra, you can now rename Memories:

Select a memory in the Memory album and then Ctrl-Click it.
In the menu, that pops up select "Get Info".

In the Info panel for the memory you can edit the title in the title field.

i know i'm missing something because i think i do understand the principle - ie. i create a new memory, with the name i want and use that newly created set to replace (after deleting) the original memory.

But i created a new album from the set of pixs, created the new title, and clicked on 'show as memory'. All seemed to be going to plan. Then (and this is where I think i must have gone wrong) i deleted the original 'memory'. This appeared to remove the pixs from Photos entirely, without putting the newly created, newly titled memory in its place.

It's the 'use the new memory to replace the old memory' bit that i can't seem to make work. Can you see where i'm going wrong, leonie?
