iPhone 8 wireless charging

I have a Belkin 5W Qi wireless charger pad (F8M747)

It charges my iPhone 8 fine but the LED does not turn solid green when fully charged

Belkin states the phone must communicate full charge to the pad to turn it from flashing green to solid green

Is this something Apple overlooked in the rush to get wireless charging out the door?

I am assuming iOS 11.0.2 keeps the pad from over charging

iPhone 8, iOS 11.0.2

This is very common problem with iPhone 8.

It is the problem with the phone. I have numerous other Qi certified chargers and they work flawlessly with other Android phones such as Galaxy series. But this iPhone 8/Plus somehow keeps screen on and off when it charges fully to 100% or LED on charger is on all the time indicating it's charging. This behavior does not happen with my other phones.

So, it is 100% problem of iPhone 8/Plus.

None of us would know if Apple overlooked something or not. Is this the Belkin charger Apple sells? I don't think iOS 11.0.2 has anything to do with overcharging or not overcharging. The pads themselves are supposed to stop charging when they no longer see a need for charging. Given you can keep a lightning cable plugged into your phone via a charging brick and wall electricity 24/7, I wouldn't be concerned about overcharging.
