Itunes closes

My Ipod 60GB photo works great, itunes works great... until I plug my Ipod into the computer. As soon as the Ipod appears on my desktop, itunes closes. If itunes is not already open, then as soon as it does open, it closes. No reasons, no errors, nothing, it just "Unexpectedly closes" no other applications affected.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
