if I delete apple maps, can I set google maps as the default application. Even after years, apple maps is incredibly disappointing and inaccurate

Apple maps continuously give poor and inaccurate information. Not just about driving directions. But also about stores and local sites. I should be able to select another mapping application as default, and google maps is more functional and complete. How can i do that in iOS 11. Thanks.
