Logic Pro x Channel Strip settings disabled after OSX upgrade

You can read it first and then follow this procedure:

1. Quit Logic Pro X.
2. Delete the Alias ~/Music/Audio Music Apps then create a new folder on this location and give it the name Audio Music Apps.
3. Open the Terminal and paste this code followed by enter:
   

   open /.HFS+\ Private\ Directory\ Data?/

   
   - A new Finder window will reveal your hidden content.
   
4. Copy the content inside the 'dir_######' folder and paste it inside your new Audio Music Apps folder.
5. Relaunch Logic Pro X.

Hi, I'm attempting to reply here Cuauhtemoc because you seem very knowledgeable. I had no problem following your instructions, but the precise problem I'm seeing was not fixed and I'm wondering if I screwed up something else...

To recap my issue which is I think the same as what everyone else is writing about, before the High Sierra upgrade, I used to be able to get a drop down on the "Settings" button of the stereo output channel to apply some mastering presets (supplied by Apple) on the fly. Nothing happens now.

I'm wondering if I didn't move the files from dir_XXXXX instead of copying them...do I have to maintain copies in the original folder...or do I have rebuild something? Any help would be appreciated. I don't normally master on a multi-track primary file, but it's useful for previewing some things. It's loss is a pain and it would be great to have it back.

Not sure how to change my reply so I replied to my reply -

During a full reinstall of Logic X Pro I noticed that I made a spelling error in the folder I created recommended by Cuauhtemoc. His/her method should work just fine without a reinstall for others.

Whatever works for you.

I would really consider following the guide I posted because without the missing folder you will encounter huge instability.
