I'm using a Windows computer and out of nowhere when I pick Playlist 1 to burn, iTunes starts to burn a different random playlist. The same thing happens when I have a playlist highlighted to print a CD insert, highlight Playlist 1 and it says it will print a different random playlist.
Talked to an Apple support person, who blamed it on Windows....help!
I had the same issue. If you right-click the highlighted playlist and select "burn disc...", it works fine. If you drop down from top file menu - it doesn't.
No idea why, but burning it this way solves the problem.

There was a general issue burning CDs with iTunes 12.7.2.x for Windows at anything over 2x speed.
iTunes 12.7.3.46 for Windows has been released which appears to burn CDs normally.
It can be downloaded from https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/. Some regional sites may supply an older version.
When burning or printing use the right-click context menu on the playlist in the sidebar. File > Burn Playlist to Disc still seems to be unreliable for example.

I have had the same problem & now right click on the playlist & can burn the CD successfully. To print the correct playlist I now hold the Control (Ctrl) down & hold down the "P" key at the same time. The correct playlist then prints
The printing issue can be patched by selecting the playlist, and "open in new window". Try print from there. I have been having this issue since the last updegrade. Finally figured this one out tonight, actually.
Two separate issues:
The wrong disc burning can be fixed by right-clicking the playlist or highlighting the songs before printing.
The error message semes curable only by uninstalling the latest version of I-tunes and using the previous version.

I found that if you highlight the playlist you want to print and then select "print" - it prints the correct playlist. Again, no idea why, but it works. As the saying goes, "Even a blind squirrel finds an occasional acorn."
I am having several all of sudden issues with burning discs (just like you described) Also..I am getting messages of errors and "the disc burner is being used another application" I just don't understand what that means.
I have never had any trouble burning discs..Now all of a sudden it's burning a different playlist.

While working around the problem of the menu selection (File/Burn Playlist to Disc) the actual problem of the menu remains. I have iTunes 12.7.3.46 installed, and after installing that version was when I first noticed the problem that is the title of this thread.
