Bluetooth can't turn off

I just clean installed the High Sierra and noticed that can't force turn bluetooth. Press on icon at the top panel to turn off and it just stays on (it doesn't turn grey). Probably need to reboot. But this is annoying.

I am running 13 inch Mid 2012 Macbook pro. Should be supported device.

Anything I can do to alleviate this?

Fixed! Hopefully this works for others. I did each of these steps and then tried rebooting to see if it worked with each one. It only worked when I got to the last step. Maybe just try doing all of them because it's hard to know which combination of things actually works.

  1. Terminal: `rm /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist`
  2. Reset the Bluetooth Module: option-shift-click on bluetooth icon in taskbar. Debug > Reset the Bluetooth Module
  3. Reset PRAM/NVRAM: shut down. power on, immediately press cmd-option-p-r until it resets itself a couple times. official guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063
  4. Reset SMC (on macbook): shut down. hold shift-control-option while holding the power button for 10s. official guide: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
  5. Disk Utility First Aid: shut down. power on, hold cmd-r immadetely (not sure how long you have to hold it, i did until the apple logo showed up). use disk utilitiy's first aid on the main volume (i had to mount the volume using the button on the top right of the UI interface)

After this, I turned back on and what used to be an empty bluetooth list now showed 4 devices waiting to pair/connect, and am now able to turn on/off bluetooth.
