I'm trying to sync photos from my iPhone7 to my Macbook pro (high sierra 10.13).
Photo's sees my iPhone in the sidebar nut when i click on it (to review the photo's on the device) I get
a message: unlock iPhone (see image below)
I'm also trying to import my photo's into Adobe Lightroom but there the iPhone is also not recognised.
Is there a solution to this?

So I found a workaround, but not a solution. I was getting the same error in Photos, Lightroom didn't see it etc. A restart on the phone didn't work, BUT... temporarily disabling the passcode
seems to work.
Yes iCloud library is enabled.
I did try changing 'optimising iPhone storing' to' download en save originals' .
This did somehow get Lightroom to show the photo's (from before HighSierra that is) and i was able to download
them there.
I'm going away for a couple of days now so will have a further look when i get back.
I don't get the message anymore, i'm not sure exactly which settings i changed but it could be that changing to
'download and keep originals ' in the iPhone photo settings menu made a difference .
Still doesn't show all the photo's on my iPhone in the Photo app on my Mac but i can import to lightroom again so for
me that's good enough ( don't really use the Photo app normally).

Same problem here. For now the only solution is to use Google Photos to transfer iPhone 6 photos. The Apple Photo is unreachable since the last upgrade in IOS (11.1.1) and OSX (10.13.1). "Please unlock iPhone" it's a horror movie line that some creepy creature repeats all the time.
Yes sorry I wasn't clear about that but of course my iPhone was already unlocked.
It now looks like its working again, at least i got photo's from my iPhone on my computer.
(it doesn't say 'unlock iPhone' anymore).

This doesn't work for me either. I unlocked the phone but still get the same message. I disabled the passcode but it still doesn't work.

Is iCloud Photo Library enabled in the iPhone? Then some photos may not be stored in full resolution on the iPhone and will not show in the import panel in Photos.
