Autocorrect changing it to I.T

Hi!

Ever since updating to iOS11, autocorrect changes the world “it” to “I.T” automatically. I.T (see what I did, but didn’t want to there?) has become very annoying. I have reset the keyboard, but still changes it to I.T!!

Help!

Hello Ben,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that when typing the word "it" it is replace with "I.T." Check to see if at some point it was added as a text replacement under Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement. If so, slide the text replacement entry to the left and tap delete. The following article has some additional information about Text Replacement:

Set up text replacement

With text replacement, you can use shortcuts to replace longer phrases. When you enter the shortcut in a text field, the phrase automatically replaces it. For example, you could type "GM" and "Good morning" would automatically replace it.

To manage text replacement, tap Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.

  • To add a text replacement, tap User uploaded file, then enter your phrase and shortcut. When you're done, tap Save.
  • To remove a text replacement, tap Edit, tap User uploaded file, then tap Delete. To save your changes, tap Done.
Best Regards.
