My new PHONE 8+ doesn't have the"contacts"icon.

How do I get it?

You can remove it if you deleted it earlier.
Open the AppStore and write to the search “contacts”, check app and download it

It is an Apple icon, therefor it is there. It may have been combined with another App. Yes "Search" to find it....simply TYPE "CONTACTS" and it will appear. If it is in with other Apps....just touch it until it wiggles then drag it out of the combined App.
Yes, I see contacts in the phone app. This is actually my wifes phone. SHe never had an iphone before and when we bough this one for her, it did not have a "contacts icon on it. Mine does but I restored from mu Iphone6+
It is under Utilities and also when you click on the phone app it is a choice at the bottom of the screen.
I did the search. It is found, but when I tap it , it opens the contacts. There isn't any associated icon for it on any of the screens. I didn't delete it. It was never there.
I don't find a "utilities" on the phone.
