Cannot check content of partial or in-progress download

HI;

For a long time, and until Sierra, it was very easy to check what was already downloaded for a Safari download.

You just had to right-click on the file being downloaded in the Finder (with the .download extension) and choose "show package contents".

This is for example useful if you download and want to check its properties using MediaInfo.

There you could see the file being downloaded plus an info.plist file.

With High Sierra, there is nothing (or at least the seem to be nothing) in the package.

Anyone knows how to show the file being downloaded in High Sierra.

Thanks in advance :-)

Thanks @leroydouglas.

My question is a bit different:

when the download is in progress (and not finished) the downloaded file has a .download extension and you can right click and show its content to see the file being downloaded (very useful for video files).

Until SIerra, I could actually see the file being downloaded.

With High Sierra, the package appears empty, therefore not useful at all.
