Watch Series 3 podcast

Trying to get podcasts to download onto my Apple Watch series 3 with cellular so I can run without my phone. Overcast app doesn’t support new OS with regards to transferring podcasts. Watch Player app will transfer podcasts to my watch but I can’t get them to play once they’ve been transferred. Any thoughts?
